I was dreading doing this cleanup, but I finally got it done. I removed all the weeds from the base of the plants. These thornless blackberry plants I gotten from a very good neighbor, Mr. Lyal.
It is good to see that the hard work of pruning and managing the blackberries is, so far, paying off. Lots of flowers and some early fruit. The bees are all over it.
Lots of fruit is setting this year. It shouldn’t be much longer before the first ones ripen.
