Hive 01 - Shorty

The hive is doing well. There are still sugar blocks from the last time I checked, which was at the end of last year. Everything is good.

Second deep is on.

These bees made a bunch of wild comb in the feeder area. This is a sign that they really needed this second deep.

First, because I am running out of equipment, and specifically out of short frames, I took all that I had available and distributed them across the 5 supers I was planning to put on on the remaining 5 hives that didn’t have them yet. But one of the 5 wasn’t yet ready for a super, so I decided to go back and make sure each of the 4 supers I put had all the available frames in.
